June is a month where animal shelters see a big rise in the number of pregnant cats and kittens arriving at their doorstep looking for a some help and somewhere to stay. Therefore, June has now become ‘adopt-a-cat’ month to help raise awareness of all of the homeless felines looking for a loving family.

Shelters are even giving discounts on their adoption fees, to further increase the number of families adopting cats. With the big surge in new kittens arriving at the shelter, there is further pressure to find these furry friends a new home.

They also like to make this a month of education for cat owners and future cat owners alike, that spaying and neutering your pet is a huge tool in the fight against strays to help give all cats a better and safer life.

Besides, who wouldn’t love a fluffy companion to snuggle with on the sofa, binge-watching netflix on the weekends?! Cats make the best partners in crime!
